komma magazine is a freely organized, student-run magazine at Mannheim University of Applied Sciences. I was already part of the editorial team for Issue 28 before taking on the role of Editor-in-Chief for the 30th anniversary edition.
As Editor-in-Chief, I worked together with a small, passionate editorial team of four other students to create the 30th issue of komma magazine.
For its thirtieth issue, we didnt just celebrate with a special anniversay edition — we embarked on a search for everything that lies beyond the visible. Hidden stories and forgotten elements were brought to light.
Under the theme “aus dem verborhenen” (“from the hidden”), we uncovered hidden student projects, gathered memories from over 100 former editorial team members through interviews and surveys, and carried out extensive archival research.
The result is a 320-page anniversary edition, printed in two-color print (black and HKS 13 N), featuring a flipbook that serves as a navigational element and guides readers through the different chapters.
To accompany the release in April, I also designed an animated poster and invitation cards for the launch event.

Together with Selim Koca Kocaaydın I also developed a digital komma archive to make previous editions accessible and visible in the form of a new website.
